Heavens Above: Aerial Views of Bryce and Zion

Well, I promised some more aerial shots of significant landmarks, and I am delivering! Here are Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park, both in Utah.

You might remember that my husband and I visited these parks a couple of months ago, and I was pleasantly surprised to get to “revisit” them last week from the air while flying home from Minnesota (the long way). It bears repeating that there is nothing like getting to see these landscapes by both foot and air. To see them from miles in the sky hints at their grandeur, but to dwell among the amazing hoodoos and steep canyon walls is something else entirely; it’s sublime, humbling, and it forces you to contemplate the vast diversity of the world we inhabit.

Edited in Lightroom and Photoshop Elements.
