Amber Waves of Grain

Amber Waves of Grain

I love the challenge of capturing golden, glowing things. There’s a mystery to them; a light that transcends.

“Amber waves of grain” are, no doubt, some of the favorite subjects of photographers and landscape artists alike—and for good reason. Few things in nature, beside our celestial bodies, seem to glow quite as elegantly as these plants in their maturity. This photo, not surprisingly, was taken in the autumn, when this golden property was at its peak. What else have you seen that glows so brilliantly?

As usual, edited in Lightroom and Photoshop Elements.
