Prometheus Strangling the Vulture
This is my interpretation of another sculpture from the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, “Prometheus Strangling the Vulture II.” (See here for “Spoonbridge and Cherry” from the same visit.)
I spent quite a bit of time enhancing the texture on the sculpture itself and adding a little mystery to the image. Here is a brief summary of the myth of Prometheus and his relationship to the vulture (or the eagle, depending on the source). I’d love to know what you think of the image, the sculpture, and the myth itself!
